Rifle Elk/Mule Deer Combo Hunt on the Joseph Ranch (Unit 13)

  • Excellent trophy hunt in the north central Idaho area at the 35,000 acre Joseph Ranch.
  • Over 20 years experience on the Joseph Ranch.
  • Season is from October 10th and goes until November 3rd.
  • Very little hunting pressure.
  • Nearly 100% success rate with clients getting their bulls.
  • 100% success rate on chances at at least 6×6 bulls.
  • Very common to see 100+ elk in one day.
  • This is a 2 on 1 guided hunt that is 7 days in length.
  • Meals, lodging in modern cabins with modern amenities like bathrooms, showers, and nice beds are included.

Price for this elk/mule deer combo rifle hunt is $10,700. There is a 5 day October cow only hunt available for $1,800.

Rifle Elk/Mule Deer Combo Hunt on the Whitebird Ranch (Unit 14)

  • This hunt is located on the 18,000 acre private Whitebird Ranch which is located in the Salmon River/Hells Canyon region of north central Idaho.
  • Date range of this hunt is from October 10th to October 24th.
  • There is a 95% success rate on elk and mule deer harvests on this hunt.
  • Around 50% of the bull elk taken on this hunt will be a 5×5 or better.
  • It’s very common to see 50-100 elk per day.

September Rifle Fly-In Wilderness Tent Camp Hunt (Unit 17)

  • This hunt is located in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area between the Selway and Lochsa Rivers of north central Idaho.
  • This area has over 600 square miles of huntable land.
  • This is a physically demanding hunt.
  • Travel is done on foot or horseback.
  • Lodging consists of wall tents with carpeted floors, wood and propane heat, and cots with foam pads for comfort.
  • Elevation of the areas hunted are from 3,500-7,000 feet above sea level.
  • This hunt runs from September 15th to September 30th.
  • You will have a 30 minute flight out of Orofino, ID that will take you 80 miles deep.
  • Once on the ground you will take horses to your camp.
  • This is a spot and stalk hunt of rutting bulls.
  • Success rates of this hunt is around 55-60%.
  • This hunt is an 8 to 9 day hunt with 6 full days of hunting.
  • This is a 2 on 1 guided hunt but there is an option for a 4 on 1 semi-guided hunt.

Price for this hunt is $4,400 plus airfare charge.

October Rifle Elk Base Camp Lodge or Wilderness Tent Camp Hunt (Unit 12)

  • This hunt is located in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area between the Selway and Lochsa Rivers of north central Idaho.
  • This area has over 600 square miles of huntable land.
  • This is a physically demanding hunt.
  • Travel is done on foot or horseback.
  • Lodging consists of wall tents with carpeted floors, wood and propane heat, and cots with foam pads for comfort.
  • Elevation of the areas hunted are from 3,500-7,000 feet above sea level.
  • This hunt is offered from October 10th through November 3rd.
  • You can hunt from a base camp lodge or a pack-in tent. (pack-in tent hunting will take an additional 2 days for packing in and out.
  • There will be 6 total days of hunting on this trip.
  • Success rate is between 55-60% with most bulls in the trophy class.
  • No charge for additional animals like whitetail deer, mule deer, bear, or mountain lion as long as you have a general deer tag.
  • This is a 2 on 1 guided hunt but there is an option for a 4 on 1 semi-guided hunt.

The price for this hunt is $4,000 for the 2 on 1 hunt. The price for the 4 on 1 semi-guided hunt is $3,000.

September Archery Elk Hunt Base Camp or Wilderness Fly-In Tent Camp (Unit 12)

  • You can hunt from a base camp lodge or a pack-in tent. (pack-in tent hunting will take an additional 2 days for packing in and out.
  • There will be 6 total days of hunting on this trip.
  • If fly-in option is chosen, you will have a 30 minute flight out of Grangeville, ID that will take you 80 miles deep to the Fish Lake wilderness camp.
  • The fly-in option has an additional airfare charge.
  • This is a 2 on 1 guided hunt but there is an option for a 4 on 1 semi-guided hunt.
  • Success rate of this hunt is between 45-55%.
  • Many nice 5×5 and 6×6 bulls are taken.
  • Some bulls will reach 340+.
  • No charge for additional animals like whitetail deer, mule deer, bear, or mountain lion as long as you have a general deer tag.
